this fine but Establishment Senator. We all need to understand
that our conservative leadership did not have the benefit of zealous,
popular support until 2009 and the tea party. I believe that many
of our GOP legislators deserve a little slack. Some of the
Establishment GOP were much more conservative at heart than
any of us could imagine. You have Orin Hatch as an example.
Understand that the Left has had its fanatic base, for years. Now,
much of their rhetorical excess has been balanced out with the
truth as presented by the Right Wing bloggosphere,
the new breed of civilian patriots and the likes of
Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin, Huge Hewitt and on and on.
Before 2009, the conservative base was almost none existent,
until election day. If "we" are going to point fingers, three of
those fingers point back to us.
