Generally speaking, I have found that polls are affected by events that took place two days prior including the event day itself. In this case, Obama’s abuse of executive privilege took place Wednesday afternoon. Today’s 44% approval rating, a drop of three points from the day before, is a reflection of Wednesday's nonsense. More than this, last Friday (June 16) was the day Obama used “executive order” to offer temporary amnesty to a segment of the immigrant population. If anything, he lost approval points for this action, as well. He certainly did not get an approval “bounce” for his trouble.
